Dear Diamond: Who Is Your Favorite Designer?

Hi!

You want to know who is my favorite designer? ...

Well, based on my family loving fashion for generations, I think I should chose someone that my whole family loves.

So, one of those designers is Ralph Lauren.

Below I have posted some random outfits to show why.

Also, I think his designs are timeless...That is why I also included a link to a dark side of fashion that I found informative.  I am still young, but I want my style to be timeless!

Dear Diamond: What is a Real Friend?

Hi All!

You may have noticed that in my story...Is She On To Me? my friend Vie was not really always my friend.

How does one find a friend?

This link gave me some insight.

Hope you enjoy!

Dear Diamond: Can Death Be Conquered?

Hi!

Did a bit of searching. Here's what I found out....I think you may like the answer.

Death Does Not End It All!

Bethany was a small village that lay two miles (3 km) from Jerusalem. (John 11:18) A tragedy unfolded there a few weeks before Jesus’ death. Lazarus, one of Jesus’ close friends, unexpectedly became seriously ill and died.
When Jesus first heard the news, he told his disciples that Lazarus was asleep and that he intended to awaken him. (John 11:11) But Jesus’ disciples did not grasp his meaning, so Jesus told them plainly: “Lazarus has died.”John 11:14.
Four days after the burial, Jesus arrived at Bethany and sought to comfort Martha, a sister of the deceased. “If you had been here, my brother would not have died,” Martha said. (John 11:17, 21) “I am the resurrection and the life,” Jesus replied. “The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.”John 11:25.
Jesus had performed at least two resurrections previously. On one occasion he raised a young girl from the dead—the daughter of Jairus. Right before Jesus resurrected her, he also described her as being asleep.Luke 8:52.To demonstrate that those words were not an empty promise, Jesus then approached the tomb and cried out: “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:43) And to the astonishment of the onlookers, the dead man emerged.
Notice that regarding the death of both Lazarus and Jairus’ daughter, Jesus compared death to sleep. That is a fitting comparison. Why? Sleep is an unconscious state and suitably conveys the idea of rest from pain and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 9:5; see the accompanying box, Death Is Like a Deep Sleep.”) Jesus’ early disciples clearly understood the true condition of the dead. “To the followers of Jesus death was a sleep, and the grave a resting-place . . . for those who had died in the faith,”*states the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics.
It comforts us to know that the dead are asleep in the grave and are not suffering. Death thereby loses its mystery and no longer needs to cause us dread.

“IF A MAN DIES, CAN HE LIVE AGAIN?”

But while we appreciate a good night’s rest, who wants to go to sleep forever? What hope do we have that the dead who lie asleep in the grave will return to life—as Lazarus and Jairus’ daughter did?
The patriarch Job raised that very question when he felt near todeath. “If a man dies, can he live again?” he asked.Job 14:14.
Addressing Almighty God, Job answered his own question, saying: “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” (Job 14:15) Job felt sure that Jehovah longed for the day when He would resurrect His faithful servant. Was that mere wishful thinking on Job’s part? Not at all.
The resurrections performed by Jesus offered clear proof that God gave Jesus power over death. In fact, the Bible says that Jesus now possesses “the keys of death.” (Revelation 1:18) So Jesus will unlock the gates of the grave, just as he ordered that the stone of Lazarus’ tomb be rolled away.
The Bible repeats this resurrection promise time and again. An angel assured the prophet Daniel: “You will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days.” (Daniel 12:13) Jesus told the Sadducees, Jewish leaders who denied the resurrection promise: “You are mistaken, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.” (Matthew 22:23, 29) The apostle Paul said: “I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”Acts 24:15.

WHEN WILL THE DEAD ARISE?

When will this resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous occur? The angel told righteous Daniel that he would rise up “at the end of the days.” Martha likewise believed that her brother, Lazarus, would “rise in the resurrection on the last day.”John 11:24.
The Bible connects this “last day” with Christ’s Kingdom rule. Paul wrote: “For he [Christ] must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:25, 26) This is a powerful reason why we should pray for God’s Kingdom to come and for God’s will to be done on the earth.*
As Job well knew, God’s will is to resurrect the dead. When that day arrives, death will truly be brought to nothing. And never again will anyone wonder, ‘Does death end it all?’
The English word “cemetery” comes from a Greek word meaning “sleeping place.”

Dear Diamond: Who are some that you emulate?

Hi!

One person that I emulate, that is my character in Is She On To Me? is: Pamela Williams. Let me tell you a little about her...

Pamela Williams is a smooth jazz saxophonist with deep roots in R&B and soul music. She is one of a few female saxophonists in the genre (Candy Dulfer, Mindi Abair, Amy Lee, and Chika Asamoto are among the others). Williams grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which was also the adopted hometown of an early influence of hers, Grover Washington, Jr. She first found fame as a member of Patti LaBelle's backup band, and her career took off from there. Williams played soprano and alto saxophones.

Maybe one day people will also say my name:-)

Enjoy your day!

What happens when we die?

Hi!

This morning, ran across a subject I thought would be of interest to you. So I've copied the post.  Hope you like...

Seah Greenhorn originally shared:
What do You think? ... Does Anyone Really Know: What happens when someone dies?

“His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; on that very day his thoughts perish.” Psalm 146:4

“The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all . . . Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.” Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10

“[Jesus] added: ‘Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him.’ Jesus, however, had spoken about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” John 11:11, 13, 14

+Scientific Lee and +Chris Koczka thank you for your comments...Romans 6:23 says the wages sin pays is Death. So resurrected people are condemned to everlasting death if they refuse to do God's will after being resurrected. Free will. God lovingly resurrects them to give them a chance. Why John 5:29 speaks of a resurrection of the unrighteous.

I read the "devil will be let loose for a short while"
perhaps there are second chances....is my belief....then who ever goes back to the former?
    Is lost.

+Scientific Lee ...Yes, Rev. 20:3 says he will be locked up for 1,000 yrs, "So that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while." By that time all mankind will be perfect like our foreparents Adam and Eve.

That is when everyone who has ever thought "I would have obeyed God" will have that chance--when Satan is let loose one last time...to prove it. Then he and his demons will be eternally destroyed. Rev. 20:7-10.

    +Seah Greenhorn My thoughts exactly.
except it says"after.....the 1000 years ...the dead will be brought to life...then satan is let loose"

meaning we have no fear...but they have not learned what we have in those 1000 years.
    So they will struggle..
I hope to be among the living   :)

+Scientific Lee ... In the words of Jesus in John 12:32: "Have no fear," though talking to the "little flock" that will reign with him in heaven over the earth:-) Matt. 5:3.

However, the "other sheep" of John 10:16 not fear either; since Jesus promises in Matt. 5:5..."Happy are the mild-tempered , since they will inherit the earth." Our attitude and actions will determine our future. A wonderful future, despite our present pain and suffering, would you not agree?

I hope this is your future too. I am working on mine:-)

Here We Go!

Hi!...

Don't you just Love this dress found on luulla.com?! ... I do! That's why I pinned it to to my board on Diamond's World. https://www.pinterest.com/lucretiamccloud/diamonds-world/...

I would feel so dainty and pretty wearing it. I might even decide to get together with some girlfriends and go to tea or something, right?

Soon cute!

Anyway...guess what!  My email is now functioning:diamondduprey@yahoo.com.

Maybe I should explain how we can help one another. As you may have noticed in my story, I didn'the have all the answers--though I Assumed I did:-)  Although I had successes, my inexperience lead to my subsequent failure.  However, what I learned along the way may be of some benefit.

Also, I love giving 'Shout outs!' to success stories.  So feel free to share yours.

Okay!  Here's a sample question I might consider on my blog based on chapters 23 and 24 of ... Is She On To Me?  Octavia, my friend I called 'Vie' constantly followed me to work. Should I have worried about what others felt about her as a person?...Does that really give people an indication of who I am as a person?

Before giving you my 'Now' answer let me know what you think.   Again, my email for contact is: diamondduprey@yahoo.com.

Hope to hear from you soon:-)

Yours truly,
Diamond
